The festive season can be a particularly difficult time to say no to alcohol. It’s also a difficult time to explain to everyone why you are skipping the celebratory drinks. However, just because you are staying healthy, does not mean that you need to forego any Christmas drinks! Here’s a list of our favourite non-alcoholic celebratory beverages.
Lime and Soda
This is a great alternative, as it looks just like bubbly in a champagne flute! Simply cut up a lime and give it a good squeeze into your glass, before topping it up with some soda water.
This is a very refreshing drink that works just as well with flat or bubbly water. Freeze raspberries, sliced strawberries and chopped mint. Once it’s frozen place it into a just with a freshly squeezed lemon. Fill the jug with water or soda water and serve.
Cranberry, Cinnamon and Ginger Juice
If you’re hosting your Christmas party, then juices are a fantastic alternative to alcohol. If you’re looking for that festive flavour, then a juice of cranberry, cinnamon and ginger will go down a treat!
Bubbling Apple Juice
Fill your flute three quarters full with fresh apple juice and top the last quarter with soda water. The popping bubbles will have you feeling merry in no time!
Pink Pomegranate and Grapefruit ‘Margarita’
Take one cup of freshly squeezed grapefruit juice and half a cup of ice, and blend together until smooth. Mix half a cup of fresh pomegranate seeds and enjoy your non-alcoholic cocktail!
