Is your skin feeling dry and dull from months of harsh cold weather? Low humidity levels inside your office can draw out the moisture from your skin, leaving it itchy and flaky.
Our skin needs fresh air and moisture to look and feel healthy and whilst being rugged up against an open fire was cosy and warm, our skin is probably screaming for some extra love. Following these simple tips will have you ready for your spring unveiling.
Treat yourself to a facial
It may not be obvious why spoiling yourself with a facial should be part of your health routine, but there are very real benefits. Facials gently remove dry, dead skin, are deeply cleansing and can increase circulation, restoring a radiant glow.
Throw it away
Your spring clean is also a great time to assess your beauty products and renew what you’ll need for the warmer months. Most beauty products do in fact have a shelf life and can be a place where bacteria grows. When checking the dates, you should toss away:
- all expired products
- any product that have changed colour or consistency, and
- worn or particularly grimy make-up brushes and sponges.
Amp Up the SPF
Sunscreen should be used all year around but especially in the warmer months, there are now several foundations and moisturisers which include sunscreen so it can easily be incorporated into your everyday beauty regime. Short exposure can damage your skin, which contributes to wrinkles and other skin conditions.
