As we are now one foot into the new year, we thought it would be a great time to remind you of the important Hopewood health principles that have helped guide health and wellness across Australian for almost 60 years.
These principles, if followed, should help you life a naturally healthy life.
- Take care of yourself
It’s important to make time to rest and recharge. Meditation, yoga and massage are some examples of how you could unwind each week.
- Nourish your body
Fuel your body with wholesome foods. Our diet should include mostly raw, plant based whole foods. Even better if they’re low fat and high fibre. There are a number of tasty recipes available to get you started on this website!
- Get moving
Want to feel energetic and maintain a healthy weight? Find a form of exercise you love, and make it a regular part of your life. It might be easier for you to adopt exercise if you do it in a group, so maybe get your friend involved in 2018 too!
- Reconnect with nature
Awaken your senses and step outside for some fresh clean air. Feel fresh grass underfoot or take a bush walk. There are a number of fantastic walks that we have told you about in previous articles, we recommend checking these out today.
- Keep it natural
Where possible, reduce your intake of sugar and processed foods, especially processed carbohydrates. These can negatively impact your overall physical and mental health.
