Life gets so busy between work, partners, kids and other unexpected life events that sometimes we completely forget about exercise and having a social life. We know how important both are to our wellbeing – so why not combine the two?
Be motivated and help each other stay fit and healthy!
Here are some quick and easy workouts you can do anytime, anywhere with your best bud.
1. Partner Planks
Begin by lying on your stomach facing your friend with about a metre space between you. Push up from the ground with your hands on either side of your shoulders and tuck your toes up to elevate yourself with a flat back, stomach and glutes pulled in to activate your muscles. Hold for 30 seconds, rest for 10 and repeat 3 times.
2. Sidekick Squats
Stand facing your friend holding hands as far apart as possible, but still comfortable. One person squats to the floor on one leg, six times and then change legs. The other person then does their first round of squats and then they alternate until each person has completed three rounds of squats on each leg.
3. Bestie Bridge
Sit on the ground facing your friend. Make a straight-legged bridge with your feet sole to sole. Make sure to hold hands on the outside of your legs. Then carefully balancing your weight, maintain a straight posture and contract your core. Hold for 30 seconds with a ten second rest and repeat three times.
Friends that sweat together, stay together!
