In May, we shared our favourite breakfast in bed recipes to celebrate all the mothers and mother figures in our lives. But now, it’s time to celebrate Father’s Day!
Tomorrow is Father’s Day, and if you haven’t sorted a gift or made any plans, you’re not alone, with studies indicating 1 in 3 Australians tend to leave gift shopping to the last minute.
But we are here to help. Research shows gifting an experience can foster stronger relationships than material items. So, with this in mind and honouring Hopewood’s philosophy, we are sharing some of our favourite activities that are made all the more fun with Dad!
1. Go off the beaten track:
Enjoy the great outdoors as a family and explore new trails and track. There are usually many hidden gems around. Let Dad choose the path and be ready to make some long-lasting memories together. Pack some fruit and nut snacks for the trail and a healthy meal to reward yourselves at the end of your adventure!
2. Pitch a tent:
Camping is a great go-to when it comes to spending quality time together in nature and away from the noise and distraction of your daily lives. Find a campground near-by, enjoy a feast around the fire and share stories.
3. Ain’t no mountain high:
Rock climbing is a fantastic way to work with your Dad as a team. You will have to depend on each other to keep yourselves safe and supported. Plus, there’s nothing like a little healthy competition!
4. Master the grill:
Now for those whose dad doesn’t jump out of bed for adventure, you can always rely on food. Grab some veggies and skewers and throw it all on the BBQ make some salads together – it’s a beautiful way to bond. Enjoying a family meal is an excellent way to nourish the soul.
