Spectacular nature in Australia
Getting out in nature and appreciating the world around us does wonders for our mental health. We have come up with five places to visit in Australia that will amaze you with their natural beauty.
Wave Rock, WA
A four-hour drive away from Perth is the stunning Wave Rock. This striking granite cliff sits 15 metres above the outback plain in Western Australia’s Golden Outback region. We recommend visiting from September to November when wildflowers carpet the region.
Three Sisters, NSW
The Three Sisters are a famous landmark in the Greater Blue Mountains World Heritage Area that is nothing short of spectacular. The rock formation can be admired from the Echo Point Lookout or you can get a closer look by following a walking trail to the top via Honeymoon Bridge.
Kings Canyon, NT
Kings Canyon is made up of striking sandstone cliffs located in Watarrka National Park. Walking around the cliffs is the best way to appreciate their beauty, and sunrise and sunset are the best times to see them when the colours are brightest.
Mackenzie Falls, VIC
Mackenzie Falls, one of Victoria’s largest and most impressive waterfalls, is located in the heart of Grampians National Park. It can be seen from above by following the path to the viewing platform at the Bluff, or challenge yourself by walking to the base of the falls.
Cobbold Gorge, QLD
This remote landmark is six hours inland from Townsville and Cairns but it’s well worth the effort to go there. The gorge is filled with unique sandstone formations and is best explored by doing a boat cruise.
