- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- A pinch of salt
- ¼ cup chopped walnuts or almonds (optional, for added crunch)

- In a medium saucepan, combine the rolled oats, almond milk, chopped apple, ground cinnamon, maple syrup, nutmeg, and a pinch of salt.
