Winter gardening tips
Gardening is beneficial all year round and during winter there are plenty of flowers to plant, plants to prune, and winter vegetables to grow. We have some gardening tips to help you get your hands dirty during winter.
- Prune hydrangeas, wisteria, and grapes
- Continue to water and fertilise spring bulbs, winter-flowering natives, and flowering hedges
- Feed citrus in late July
- Asparagus, rhubarb, and strawberries can be planted
- Start seeds of tomatoes, eggplant, and capsicum on a warm windowsill, ready for planting when soil warms

- Broccoli
- Garlic
- Spinach
