Natural sore throat remedy

Getting the sniffles and sneezes aren’t just a winter phenomenon. If you’re in and out of the summer heat and air-conditioned buildings, particularly if you are also exhausted from preparing for the year ahead you might be brewing a summer cold. If you’re starting out in a new work place with a new environment and are having close contact with different people, our bodies and immune system can get run down.

The trick to stopping your cold in its tracks, or preventing further infection and inflammation, is helping your body fight off the contagion with natural vitamins and minerals.

Next time you start to get that tickle in your throat or even if your cold is already underway why not try this natural remedy?

Ingredients:

2 tablespoons of honey
1 lemon, juiced
2 Tablespoons of white vinegar
2 teaspoons of ground ginger
2 drops of propolis liquid (available at most health food shops)
Boiling water

Method:

Put the kettle or jug on to Boil. Meanwhile, place all the ingredients (except the water) into a medium to tall glass.
Stir the boiling water over the ingredients until fully covered and stir until the honey has melted
Enjoy! – But watch out, it’s hot!
