There’s nothing like the smell of a delicious curry simmering on the stove after a long day of work. This recipe is healthy, nutritious and is perfect to make in bulk and store for those days you don’t feel like cooking!

• 2 onions, finely sliced
• 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
• 1 teaspoon turmeric
• ½ teaspoon ground chilli
• 2 garlic cloves, crushed
• ½ teaspoon grated ginger
• 500 grams of potatoes, peeled and quartered
• 1 cup green peas
• 1¼ cups warm water
• 1 teaspoon garam masala
• 3 tablespoons chopped coriander

• Fry the onion and cumin until golden.
• Stir in the turmeric, chilies, garlic and ginger
• Cook for a few moments then add the potatoes and water, simmer until potatoes are tender, add peas
• Sprinkle with garam masala and coriander to serve
