Maintain your motivation for better health
As the season changes, you may find it more challenging to stick to your health goals. But maintaining your motivation doesn’t have to be difficult!
If you’re feeling lethargic or unmotivated, this could be a sign that your body is fatigued, and you need more rest. It’s a lot easier to feel inspired when you’re revitalized and well rested. Make sure you get about eight hours of sleep each night to really give your body a chance to recuperate.
Embracing nature can also boost our motivation levels. Whether it be out in the bush, by the beach, or in your own backyard, it can be extremely uplifting to spend time outdoors. You could go for a walk or bike ride, have a picnic with friends, read in the park, or just lie on the grass – you’ll be surprised by how much better you’ll feel for it!
We recommend meditation or yoga to refresh your thinking and calm your mind. If you’ve never tried it before, why not give it a go this season? It’s important to find time to relax the mind and body – it refreshes our whole being and increases motivation.
Listening to music is another great way to relax. This will feed your mind and stimulate your creativity. If you are someone who responds physically to music it can create a unique energy within your body.
It’s also important to stay organised and on top of your to-do list. When we’re overwhelmed, we become stressed which can severely affect our enthusiasm. Limit procrastination and you’ll feel a real sense of accomplishment.
Finally, and arguably most importantly, keep yourself hydrated and eat well. Nourishing your body will leave you feeling energized and motivated – the change in weather will no longer be an issue!
